Cloverdale Primary
School students have visited the Fun-Ed offices at Leederville to
test computer games and provide input to the development of products.
The students are on the junior advisory board of Fun-Ed, a new multimedia
company designing educational computer games. It is a subsidiary of
the Jaycees Community Foundation and has exclusive licence to commercialise
Western Australian education overseas. Fun-Ed team will produce its
first CD-ROM game called Sucked In! later this year. Fun-Ed consultant Bronwyn McCormack said her team worked closely with
13 Cloverdale Year 3 students last year. They were invited to be part
of the junior advisory board.
Members who visited the Fun-Ed office
recently tested games, watched the team at work creating animations
and 3D models and learnt about junior advisory board members in Britain.
Ms McCormack will visit and work with a group of British primary school
students later this month. The two schools will communicate with each
other via the Fun-Ed website.
