There may be several
computer programmers to come out of Cloverdale Primary School.
Year 3 students are getting in early when it comes to learning about
the intricacies of computers. They have learnt about creating computer
programs through Leederville software company Fun-Ed. The company
created an interactive 2D and 3D animated adventure CD-ROM with 18
sub-games, and asked for their opinions.
The
students were part of an international Junior Advisory Board. Their
feedback helped to create the final product.
They will each receive
a copy of the eVac-U8 with Elbie Arbie game.
The program is not all fun and games - it is based on the Year 3 mathematics
curriculum and the player constructs a 3D model away from the computer.
